SNOWFEST Parade/Street Fair

The Tahoe City parade is a beloved event that has been celebrated for over 40 years. Featuring the famous shovel brigade, ski platoon, scout floats, Mardi Gras beads, and candy, this parade highlights the spirit of a close-knit community.
Because of traffic issues and a request from the California Highway Patrol, Tahoe SNOWFEST is changing the parade format for 2025. Instead of a moving parade, we will host a party along the former parade route. We’re calling it the Tahoe City SNOWFEST Street Fair.
Each participant will have a section of North Lake Blvd to display a stationary float, skit, contest, or any creative ideas. Grab your beads, candy, and creativity for a fun SNOWFEST party!
Join us to see the top talents of North Lake Tahoe compete for Best in Show, Best Youth Entry, Most Tahoe, and Rookie of the Year! Prizes will be given in all categories.

Register for the 2025 SNOWFEST Tahoe City Parade/Street Fair

Tahoe City Street Fair (formerly Parade) FAQ’s:
● ALL entry applications are subject to review approval by the Street Fair organizers. You will be contacted immediately if there is an issue with your application.
● All block entries must have entertainment value. Entries that are strictly promotional will not be accepted.
● No political organizations or candidates for office will be allowed. Elected officials are invited to participate.
● Due to the new format performances can last up to 5 minutes. Keep performances to 5 minutes or under so spectators can move to the next party.
● No throwing of favors, candy, handouts, flyers or any other item from your party. This is extremely dangerous and leads to serious liability issues. Participants are allowed to hand out items.
● Please make a copy of the application for your records.
● Tahoe City Street Fair Entry Fee: $50.00 payable by cash or check to SNOWFEST. See info below regarding sponsoring the Street Fair.
● To enter the Tahoe City Street Fair please complete the form above.
● Each accepted party entry will be contacted via EMAIL the week prior to the Street Fair with additional information, including your Street Fair station number.
● Identifying banners are encouraged.
● All children must be under adult supervision. It is preferred that all children be on a float or truck or contained within your station.
● No political entries or signs will be permitted. This is firm. No exceptions.
● Sorry, absolutely no refunds.
● Equestrian entries must provide their own cleanup crew.

Due to space constraints, the number of Street Fair entries is limited to the 1st 50 paid applications accepted.
